Welcome!
Welcome to Four Peas in a Pod Vinyl Boutique, the BLOG!
I started this business last year, but the idea for my shop came in the first few months of us arriving to Okinawa, Japan. My husband is in the Marine Corps, and we happened to end up here in Japan in May of 2011. By the time we got our home, I knew vinyl was a good idea for base housing. The walls here are concrete in many areas, making it extremely difficult to hang pictures or other wall decor items we brought from the States. I wanted to make my home special and more "homey" than it was. I pondered it for months, and by August of 2012, I was all set up to go! I have a background in graphic design, which I brought into this shop. Now my creations could actually come out of the screen and onto my walls!
Within just a few months, my shop expanded and I had more than 500 fans on Facebook! That number is still going up now that I'm shipping to the United States and opened an Etsy shop. I've been greatly blessed that I was able to take my idea and turn it into a business that has helped my family.
I've been able to meet new people and participate in community events, and I've had so much fun doing it. Seeing the faces of my customers when they get to bring their ideas and special words to life is a spectacular thing.
I'll be posting new things here, special deals, promos, and new designs! So stick around for many more things to come!
